Albany, NY (WIBX) - Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi ranks among Central New York's "greenest" state lawmakers, according to the EPL/Environmental Advocates' 2012 Voters' Guide.

Brindisi topped the charts with a score of 91, tying Democrat Samuel Roberts from Syracuse. Claudia Tenney scored a 44, but was among the highest of the area's Republicans.

State Senator Joe Griffo is considered the least environmental legislator, posting a 23 - the lowest score in Central New York. Oneonta's James Seward didn't fare much better, scoring only a 26. Of the four CNY state senators, the average score was 30.5.

EPL/Environmental Advocates has produced the Voters' Guide for more than four decades, and says it looks at a variety of elements when compiling scores.

Factors include the lack of action on environmental bills and the passage of harmful legislation.
