Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi is partnering with the Rescue Mission of Utica to sponsor "Warm for Winter," a clothing drive that will provide local families with warm clothes for the winter months.

Between October 1st and November 1st, new or gently used items can be dropped off at Chanatry's Market on French Road in Utica.

"As our region recovers from the economic recession and recent flooding, many families in our community are still struggling to obtain the basic necessities to ensure a safe winter," Brindisi said. "Every donation, large or small, will provide warmth and comfort to those who are most in need."

Donations can be made from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Acceptable items include: hats, gloves, scarves, coats and boots.
