Upstate and downstate businesses could begin working together, thanks to the work of one local lawmaker.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi recently met with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to discuss sending food and beverage production business to companies in the Mohawk Valley.

Brindisi says the results of upstate and downstate partnerships have already been seen locally, as the F.X. Matt Brewery produces products for Brooklyn Beer.

Also attending the meeting were Mohawk Valley EDGE President, Steven DiMeo, and Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, whose district covers a portion of Brooklyn.
