Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi is co-hosting a public forum with the Alliance for Quality Education to examine ways to improve the state's school aid formula.

It's taking place on Thursday night at 6:30 at Proctor High School in Utica.

Brindisi will be joined by Utica School Superintendent Bruce Karam and AQE experts.

He says Karam and the AQE have been leaders in the effort to increase state aid to small city school districts.

Brindisi says while there's been a slight improvement in the state's Foundation Aid Formula, many area schools are still not receiving their fair share of funding.
