Broome Gets New DSS Commissioner

Broome County has a new Commissioner of Social Services and Commissioner of Mental Health.

Broome County Executive Jason Garnar has appointed Nancy Williams-Frank to the positions starting October 16.

Frank is currently a Regional Project Manager with Care Compass Network that works to reduce Medicaid expenses.  She also was Director of Youth and Family Services at Lourdes Hospital for seven years and Manager of Medical Social work at United Health Services for eight years.

Frank is replacing Art Johnson, who retired in April.

Deputy Commissioner Don Bowersox has been serving as the acting commissioner.
