Bruce Leonard Appears In Court, Rejects Plea Offer [VIDEO]

The final defendant in the Word of Life Church beating case was in Oneida County Court today, where he rejected a plea offer from the District Attorney's Office.

Bruce Leonard, the father of victims Lucas and Christopher Leonard, turned down an offer of 18 years to life in prison.

Seven other defendants in the case have also rejected plea offers and will go to trial.

District Attorney Scott McNamara says because of legal reasons, there will be at least two trials.

The boys' mother, Deborah Leonard, has pleaded guilty to assault charges and will be sentenced to five years in prison.

She'll also testify at the trials of the other defendants.
