A Brunswick man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after troopers stopped him for a traffic violation this weekend.

New York State Police arrested 56-year old Michael C. McCloskey on Saturday, December 6, 2014 after he was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation committed while driving on State Route 142.

New York State Police say the trooper who stopped McCloskey smelled alcohol on his breath.  They say McCloskey subsequently failed a sobriety test and had a blood alcohol concentration level of .11%.

It was also determined that McCloskey was wanted for failing to pay a fine in the Town of Cohoes, New York.  He was issued several tickets and turned over to the Cohoes Police Department.
