A man who allegedly burglarized a home in Rome apparently had a change of heart.

34-year old Joshua Grant is accused of breaking into a home on Calvert Street and taking several pieces of jewelry and cash.

Rome Police say Grant returned to the home about a week later to return the stolen property and apologize for breaking into the victim's home.

Police say Grant and the victim did not know each other.

Grant was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
