A New Hartford businessman had pleaded guilty to filing false federal income tax returns.

A part of his guilty plea, 57-year old Dino Tucciarone, who owned and operated Disaster Services, admitted he earned substantial income over and above what he reported on his federal income tax returns.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the unreported income resulted in Tucciarone owing the IRS more than $250,000 in taxes.

Tucciarone faces a maximum of three years in prison when he's sentenced in September.

He's also agreed to pay restitution to the IRS for all back taxes due for the tax years 2007 through 2009.
