Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired is announcing that it has just been identified as a prime vendor for the federal government's foreign military sales program.

The designation means more jobs for the CABVI and the region. Congressman Richard Hanna and other leaders were on hand for the ceremonial contract signing this afternoon.

The center will be competing for federal contracts to make and supply clothing and textile products for US military allies and neutral nations. Things like mess kits and uniforms will be manufactured at the facility.
