Canastota Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charges

A two-month long investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Office has led to the arrest of a Canastota man on felony drug charges.

Authorities say the investigation centered around the sale of psilocybin mushrooms.

22-year old Michael Merrell is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Merrell allegedly sold a quantity of psilocybin mushrooms to another person on multiple occasions.
