Cancer Services Program Offers Free Mammograms/Pap Tests
Utica, NY (WIBX) – Uninsured women living in Oneida, Herkimer or Madison counties have the opportunity to receive no-cost mammogram and pap tests as part of The Cancer Services Program’s “Love Yourself Screening Event.”
Beginning October 3rd, eligible women 40-years and older, without insurance, can schedule tests. Women 50 and older also receive a free at-home colon cancer screening kit.
Each woman undergoing a mammogram or pap test will receive a Wal-Mart gift card and will be entered into several prize drawings.
The Cancer Services Program is working in conjunction with several area hospitals, the Bassett Healthcare Network, Planned Parenthood and Mohawk Glen Imaging.
Women who would like to get screened are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 798-5248, or by visiting www.oc.gov/oneida/health.
