Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In New Hartford

A Utica woman is facing a DWI charge after crashing her car into a utility pole at the intersection of Genesee and Pearl Streets in New Hartford.

New Hartford Police say 28-year old Megan Houck lost control of her vehicle on a curve, left the road and hit the pole.

The impact of the crash severed the pole in two and caused the roadway to be shut down for a period of time while crews from National Grid replaced the utility pole.
