Cassville Man Arrested for Alleged Assault on Sheriff’s Deputy

A Cassville man is in custody after allegedly injuring an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy.

According to Sheriff Maciol, 21-year-old Mark C. Keenan was being placed under arrest at his home on Summit Road in the Town of Paris when he shoved the deputy and struggled with officers who were attempting to take him into custody.

The Sheriff's Office was called to the property initially for a Peace Officer complaint.

The deputy was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released for a hand injury. Keenan is charged with Assault, Resisting Arrest and Harassment.

He is being held at Oneida County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
