The Utica Comets earned four of a possible six points this
weekend, as they got the best of the Lake Erie Monsters, 3-2 in a shootout
Sunday afternoon at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The Comets earned the
first shootout win in franchise history as Alex Grenier scored the

Utica Aud Will Host NCAA Hockey Frozen Four

The NCAA has announced today that the Utica Memorial
Auditorium will be hosting the 2017 Men’s Division III Frozen Four for the
first time.

“We are thrilled to be working with Utica College and the NCAA to give the
region another exciting event to look forward to at The AUD,” said Utica
Memorial Auditorium Authority Chairman Carl Annese

Thousands of stuffed animals rain on the ice at the Utica Memorial Auditorium at the 9th Annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss sponsored by WIBX. The Pioneers scored their first goal at 5:50 in the first period, triggering the chain reaction of fans throwing the stuffed animals on to the ice. Utica beat Salve Regina 5-1. Utica College Hockey Scores ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ Win over Salve Regina

Nearly 4000 fans jammed into the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Saturday night for the WIBX sponsored, New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss which resulted in a 5-1 Utica win over Salve Regina University.

The 9th annual event which inspires people to bring stuffed animals to the game for the WIBX-Keeler Toy drive and Operation Sunshine had fans at the edge of their seats awaiting the first goal, when they could toss their donation on to the ice

Comets Lose Third Straight, Fall to Adirondack

 

It was another attempt at a third-period comeback for the Utica Comets on Saturday night as the new AHL team was defeated 3-1 by the Adirondack Phantoms at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
