Two days after Hurricane Sandy ripped through the East Coast, many residents remain without basic supplies like food, clean water and shelter. Fortunately for the victims of this storm, there are many organizations out there determined to provide assistance to those affected by the hurricane.
As you probably know, over 60 million Americans are currently awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, aka "Frankenstorm." The mix of a powerful hurricane and a wintry storm has caused Sandy to be dubbed "Frankenstorm" by the media. But as you're Tweeting and Facebook-ing and meme-ing about "Frankenstorm," we ask that you heed our public service announcement.
According to reports from the Transportation Security Administration, the agency plans to clean a little house at the Newark International Airport by firing 25 employees and suspending 19 others for alleged misconduct.
In a seemingly related pair of stories, a recent internal TSA investigation revealed frequent security failures, while an ABC News story investigated rampant theft at the TSA.
However, both of these things have nothing to do with the 25 firings, according to the TSA.
