Keeler’s View- Fan Behavior at Game Friday Night Speaks Volumes

'It ain't over 'til it's over,' or 'It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings;' or maybe it's, 'Thanks for the memories.'

Feel free to pick a cliche' as they were all applicable in some way on Friday night during game 4 of the AHL's Calder Cup finals at the Utica Aud and the behavior of the fans was really telling when it comes to this community.

Some felt the series w

‘Star Wars’ #1 Advance Review: Jason Aaron & John Cassaday Offer A New Hope For Lapsed Fans

Star Wars and Marvel Comics have a long history. A Marvel adaptation of the original sci-fi-fantasy film appeared in April 1977, a month before A New Hope dominated multiplexes in May of the same year. The success of the film as well as the comics led to a volume of over 100 issues over a nine-year span, featuring stories about what happened to the heroes of the Rebellion between their big screen adventures.

Following Marvel parent Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm, this week sees the return of the Star Wars Universe to the Marvel banner, with a new ongoing series from Jason Aaron and John Cassaday launching on Wednesday. It's a strong debut from an A-list creative team who manages to capture the feel of George Lucas's film A New Hope while still taking advantage of the entirety of the Saga.

Why Marvel Studios Succeeds (And How It Will Fail If It Doesn’t Diversify)

The movie also stands at 92% positive reviews on aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, joining all previous Marvel Studios movies in receiving predominantly favorable notices.

Marvel Studios is doing very well. In six years and ten movies, it has avoided both critical and commercial disasters, and frustrated naysayers who hailed the demise of the superhero movie at every step. Marvel's rivals at Fox, Sony Columbia, and Warner Bros, have enjoyed commercial success as well -- but not with the acclaim, consistency, or proliferation of Marvel. So how does Marvel do it, and can they keep doing it?

‘USA TODAY’ Costs Twice As Much Today [OPINION]

One of my favorite Friday pastimes is picking up the weekend edition of "USA TODAY" for leisurely weekend reading. I love USA TODAY...the pie charts, colorful USA weather map, the page with stories from all 50 states, the sports...yata, yata, yata. And today when I went to pay for it, the price doubled! The price at the newsstand has been $1.00 ever since I can remember, but today they raised it to $2.00. Check out more of my outrage.
