Cato Man Headbutts Oneida Nation Officer

Verona, NY (WIBX) - A Cato man is in Oneida County Jail after allegedly headbutting an Oneida Indian Nation police officer at the Turning Stone Casino.

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says  Ronald Smith, 28, was at Turning Stone on Saturday night, when he became involved in an altercation with the officer.

It is alleged that Smith injured the officer by headbutting him in the face. He was taken to Oneida Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Smith faces one felony account of assault.
