The cause of a fire at 674 Bleecker Street in Utica is under investigation.

Utica Firefighters were called the four-story brick building at around 9:30 Monday morning.

When they arrived, the found smoke coming from the front of the building.  The fire was confined to the basement of the building.

National Grid shutdown power to an electrical subway station located in front of the building.

It took about two hours to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured.

The building is occupied by the El Barajo Restaurant on the first-floor, while the other floors are under renovation.
