ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Fire officials continue to investigate the cause of a house blaze in Rochester that claimed the lives of two people over the weekend.

Authorities say firefighters responded around 5:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a fire at a city home. After the blaze was under control, firefighters found one adult and two children suffering from serious injuries.

Officials say two of the three died.

The victims' names, ages and gender haven't been released, but family members tell local media that the dead include a woman and her six-year-old son.

Four other people escaped the blaze. Officials say three of them were treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

A vigil was held for the victims Sunday night.
