CCE and North Star Orchards To Host Tree Pruning Class

Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County and North Star Orchards, in Westmoreland, are hosting a free fruit tree and shrub pruning class this Sunday.

Those looking to learn how to maintain their trees will learn proper pruning techniques from local fruit tree experts. Students will participate in a demonstration workshop pruning blueberries, grapes, and apple trees, among others.

Demonstrations will also be held to show proper strawberry growing techniques.

There is no cost to attend the event. Students are encouraged to dress for the weather.
