For the 20th year, over 60 local families in need are getting a free Thanksgiving dinner courtesy of the Center for Family Life and Recovery and BNY Mellon.

CFLR Communications Specialist Mary Margaret Plado-Costante says each family is chosen to get the free meal through submissions by counselors and caseworkers.

Each family will get a box of non-perishable food and a turkey pan, along with a $30 gift certificate to Chanatry's to buy a turkey and other perishable food items.

Chanatry's Supermarket is the donating space for the drop-off and delivery of the Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets, and also provided the gift certificates and a discount for other perishable items.
