Chadwicks Woman Charged With Grand Larceny

Chadwicks, NY (WIBX) - A Chadwicks woman will appear in front of the Town of New Hartford Court after allegedly stealing a vehicle.

New Hartford Police responded to a call yesterday afternoon from John Berube, 46, of Chadwicks, who said that his car had been stolen by Joan Barto, 44, also of Chadwicks.

The vehicle, a 1999 Ford Ranger, was found unoccupied on Rutger Street in the City of Utica.

After being questioned by police, Barto was arrested and charged with one count of grand laceny, a felony.

Barto appeared in the Town of New Hartford Court this afternoon, and released. She is scheduled to re-appear in court on December 27.
