Chenango County Woman Charged In Infant’s Death

A Chenango County woman has been arrested in the September 5th death of a 3-month old girl.  

38-year old Genela Rood of Pitcher is charged with second-degree manslaughter.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says Brenna Quinn's death was ruled a homicide after it was determined the infant had alcohol in her system.

Deputies say the baby was being watched by Rood.

Rood was sent to the Chenango County jail on $50.000 bail and is scheduled to re-appear in Town of Pitcher Court on November 18th.
