Child Drowns In Sauquoit Creek

The investigation into the death of a toddler who drowned over the weekend continues.

New Hartford Police say 23-month old Ashi Kah of Utica fell into the Sauquoit Creek at the Washington Mills Athletic Park on Saturday evening.

The child was swept about one-thousand feet downstream before being pulled from the water.

She was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office is involved in the investigation.
