Vernon, NY (WIBX) - A Cicero man walked away uninjured after he collided with two deer in the Town of Vernon.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says 53 year-old Robert Meader was driving his truck northbound on State Route 26, when two deer crossed into his path.

Meader could not avoid the deer and struck them both. He then veered off the road and into an embankment where his truck overturned.

He was taken to Oneida City Hospital, but was released with only a cut to his hand.

Meader was not ticketed.
