Utica, NY (WIBX) - The City of Utica has declared a snow emergency.

Starting tonight at 10, all vehicles parked on City streets must be removed for snow plows and emergency crews to travel.

There are no exceptions to the rule. Officials with the City say anyone who leaves their vehicle parked on the streets after ten are subject to tickets and towing at the owner's expense.

The snow emergency will remain in effect until further notice.

**UPDATE ** As of 8:30am ET on January 22, 2013 the City of Utica has lifted the snow emergency.
