Civil War History Capsules Now Available Online

Utica, NY (WIBX) - History capsules of Civil War Soldiers are now available on line, thanks to the Military History Museum.The capsules are from 360,000 soldiers from New York State who served during the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. Michael Aikey, Director of the New York State Military Museum and Veterans Research Center said, "What we have done is we've put capsules history of all of New York State Civil War regiments on line, and recently we've added the rosters and pdf files. which are searchable for each of these regiments."

Aikey said some of the information people will find are newspaper clippings, statistics and other military records.
