After 14 weeks of intensive training, 16 firefighters graduated from the Utica Fire Academy today.

A ceremony was held at Mohawk Valley Community College.

Mitch Dryer, a retired firefighter from the City of Oneida Fire Department, was the keynote speaker.

The firefighters represent eight different fire departments from across the state, including the Utica Fire Department.
