Claudia Tenney Announcing That She is Running in the Republican Primary Against Congressman Richard Hanna

Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney has announced that she is running against Congressman Richard Hanna in the Republican primary for the 22nd Congressional District.

Tenney had previously announced that she was "exploring" her options, which included circulating petitions.

The run was not unexpected.  On March 17, 2014 WIBX reported that sources had indicated she had the intention to run weeks ago, and over objections by some members of the GOP.  Others have said they would applaud the move by Tenney.
