Clinton Woman Injured In Accident

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - A Clinton woman was injured in an accident involving a car and a tractor-trailer.

New Hartford Police say 74-year old Mary Zali collided with the tractor-trailer at the intersection of Seneca Turnpike and Middle Settlement Road.

The collision caused heavy damage to Zali's vehicle and ruptured the fuel tank on the side of the rig, causing a large amount of diesel fuel to spill on the road.

Crews from the State DOT and New Hartford Fire Department were called to cleanup the fuel spill.

Zali was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of head pain.

She was issued a summons for passing a red light.
