Carmelo Anthony scored 42 points, but had just one bucket in the fourth quarter and the L.A. Clippers pulled away down the stretch to top the Knicks 102-88 as Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

The Clippers shot 51% from the field, led by Jamal Crawford's 27 points (12-22) off the bench. Chris Paul scored 25 points, adding seven assists, six rebounds and four assists.

Blake Griffin added 17 points and a dozen boards for the Clippers, who had lost four of five coming into New York.

'Melo's 42 marked his fifth 40-plus point output this season but it was the Knicks' second loss in the three games. The only other Knick in double figures offensively was Raymond Felton who had 20. Tyson Chandler had 11 rebounds and six assists.

New York will host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at MSG.
