Canadian Man Arrested For Breaking Into Local Home

Trenton, NY (WIBX) - A Canadian Man was arrested for breaking into a house in the Town of Trenton. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Deputies responded to a burglary on Mapledale Road.

According to the Deputies, the homeowners had come home to find their car missing, they called 911. While in route to the burglary, deputies spotted the car and attempted to stop it.  The driver, 18 year old Matthew Brown of Edmonton-Alberta, Canada, refused to stop and fled, crashing the car a short time later.  The driver was not hurt, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Brown was charged with Burglary in the second degree, a class D felony, and Unlawful Fleeing a police officer in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.
