CNY Veteran’s Outreach Center Hosts Community Forum On Veterans’ Benefits

Executives from multiple state agencies met at the Central New York Veteran's Outreach Center for an information session earlier today.

Executive Director of the outreach Center Vincent Scalise said a lot of Vets don't know that they are eligible for many services, so a lot of them go unclaimed by the people who need them the most.

Scalise is hoping today's information session helps Veterans who deserve these benefits get better and easier access to them.

The session included information about advocacy for Veterans, Service members and their family members who are looking for a wide range of federal, state and local Veterans' benefits.

Other topics of discussion included ways to guard against financial exploitation, access to healthcare and assistance to families transitioning to a military member shipping out or heading home.
