Vestal Police say a man accused of threatening a woman with a knife during an altercation at a home on Bunn Hill Road at around 6:30 a.m. February 17 allegedly buried a mason jar full of cocaine in the snow.

39-year-old Terrance Neal was seen near the home shortly after police received the complaint, walking down Bunn Hill Road.

Police say they determined Neal had been involved in the altercation and that he had been in possession of cocaine.

Officers say they followed Neal’s tracks in the snow back to a snow bank at Bunn Hill and Rock Roads where they found the mason jar containing more than six ounces of cocaine.

Neal is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and harassment.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
