ANGELICA, N.Y. (AP) — State police say they're still investigating the mysterious disappearance of a 75-year-old woman from her rural home in New York's Southern Tier more than 30 years ago.

Investigators say police in the Allegany County village of Angelica (an-JEHL'-ih-kah) were told by a grocery store clerk on Aug. 31, 1985, that Flossie Wilbur hadn't picked up her newspapers for the last week.

Neighbors told police that no one had seen her for a week, and a check of home found the back door unlocked and her car parked in the driveway. Groceries she had recently bought were still on the kitchen counter.

Police say there were no signs of foul play.

A state police investigation launched two days later failed to turn up any sign of Wilbur.

Investigators say they recently conducted interviews in the Angelica area.
