Comets Demko AHL Goalie of the Month

Utica Comets goalie Thatcher Demko has been named CCM/AHL Goaltender of the Month for October. 

Demko went 4-1 over Utica's season opening seven-goad road trip, stopping 152 of the 160 shots he faced. That's a save percentage of .950 - his goals against average over that stretch 1.61.

Demko was in goal Wednesday night for the Comets' home opener at the Adirondack Bank Center. Utica fell in an eight round shootout by a 4-3 final.
