The Utica Comets took a tough loss at home Friday night, losing 4-3 to the Binghamton Senators in overtime.

The Comets were down 3-0 well into the game before managing to tie it up in the third period.

Goalie Jacob Markstrom was denied a chance at the all-time AHL shutout record as the Senators proved too much for the Comets in the extra period, scoring a power-play goal 4:21 into overtime.

The Comets hit the road to Glens Falls on Saturday to take on the Adirondack Flames for the second time this season.

The Comets took home the win in their last meeting 3-0.
