Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties Earns National Accreditation

Utica, NY (WIBX) - One local organization is receiving top national honors for its philanthropic work.

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties recently earned accreditation from the Community Foundations National Standards Board, joining more than 200 others already confirmed.

To receive the honor, an organization must document policies for donor services, investments, grant making and administration.

The Community Foundation has been in operation since 1952 and has distributed more than 5,600 grants, totaling nearly $44 million.
