Congressman Richard Hanna spoke on the House Floor today to call on lawmakers to replace the sequester with smarter spending cuts.

Hanna said the country "desperately needs to cut funding," but noted that "sequestration is a poor way to do it."

He also called the country's nearly $17 trillion deficit immoral, while referring to it as a regressive tax for future generations.
