Construction Begins On Hotel 2 Suites By Hilton In North Utica

Construction has officially begun on a new hotel on North Genesee Street in Utica.

Mayor Robert Palmieri says The Home 2 Suites by Hilton Hotel will be located at the entrance to the Harbor Point area.

Andy Patel of Visions Hotel, which owns several other hotels in Utica, says it will be the city's first extended stay hotel.

"As we prepare for the development of harbor Points, we welcome another quality Visions Hotel property to our City" said Palmieri.   "This is a testament to the Patel family's commitment and belief in Utica's future and we are thankful for their latest investment."

The four-story hotel will feature 89 rooms, including suites with fully equipped kitchenettes and a pool.

It will also provide 123 parking spaces.
