Construction is finally complete on the Veteran's Memorial Bridge on Burrstone Road over the North-South Arterial.

The $7.8 Million rehabilitation project included a new bridge deck, improvements to the bridge railing, painting the bridge and adding a new median with lighting. Minor finishing touches will be added to the project in the Spring.

Governor Andrew Cuomo believes this is a huge accomplishment and these improvements to the infrastructure are happening all across the state. In a statement Cuomo said, "This rehabilitation of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in the heart of Utica will not only make travel safer and more efficient, it will also support economic growth in the entire Mohawk Valley."
