The man wanted in connection with a shooting incident at the 7th Inning Stretch in Cooperstown is in custody.

62-year old Barry Renert was arrested by police in Richmond, Virginia.

Police say Renert walked into the sports memorabilia store on Monday morning and threatened the owner with a gun.

He fled when the owner shot at him.

No one was injured.

UPDATE 12/26 9:42- The man wanted in connection with that shots fired incident inside a Cooperstown sports memorabilia store earlier this week has been charged with second degree burglary, according to WBNG TV.

Police say 62 year old Barry Renert entered the shop - the 7th Inning Stretch - on Monday morning and threatened his former boss with a gun.

Police say the owner pulled his own gun and shot at Renert.

Renert, of Richfield Springs, left the scene and arrested at a bus station in Richmond, Virginia on Monday night.
