Cops: Cellphone Video Shows 3 Fights Outside Middle School

RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — Police say cellphone video posted online appears to show three different fights happening at roughly the same time outside a Rutland middle school.

WCAX-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2lGU6Yf ) the fights happened on a Sunday during school vacation last month on the grounds of Rutland Middle School.

The video shows two girls fighting on the ground followed by two boys exchanging blows. A third fight then breaks out between three girls just steps away.

The melee appears to have been planned. Officials say they're worried other fights may be planned.

Superintendent Mary Moran says some people involved were Rutland residents and students.

Names are being withheld due to the ages of the students. No arrests have been made, but charges are possible.

Police say no one was seriously injured from the fight.
