Oriskany, NY (WIBX) - A corrections officer at the Oneida County Jail has been charged with two counts of promoting prison contraband. Oneida County Undersheriff Robert Swenszkowksi says 31-year old Francis Pardi, who was hired in September, was charged following his termination earlier this week.

Swenszkowski says an internal investigation was started after Sheriff's Office administrators received information regarding inmates receiving prohibited items from Pardi.

Two inmates who received the contraband are also expected to be charged in the case.
