Councilman Marino To Propose Resolution To Utilize State Financial Restructuring Board
Utica Fourth Ward Councilman Joe Marino plans on proposing a resolution at the next common council meeting that would ask for the state's help getting involved with the financial restructuring board.
Earlier this week Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi sent a letter to Utica Mayor Rob Palmieri asking him to consult the State's financial experts who work to improve municipal financial health.
Marino feels that getting help from the board is a "no-brainer" to bring the proposed city budget down from nearly 9%.
Marino says he feels his colleagues on the council will support the resolution when the council meets again on March 19.
