Country Star Billy Currington Wins ‘Best Celebrity Mugshot’ Award
He's 'Pretty Good At Drinking Beer' and as it turns out, he's pretty good at appearing in a mugshot. While there really is no award for the 'Best Celebrity Mugshot' in Country Music, women all over America are saying 39-year-old Billy Currington would win if there was one.
Currington was charged with making terroristic threats and abuse of an elderly person; specifically, a 70-year-old boat captain who allegedly motored too close to his dock in Georgia. Police say, he hopped in his boat and chased the old guy down to yell at him and make threats on his life. Furthermore, authorities think Currington might have filmed his altercation with the captain, which seemingly complicates matters. If convicted, he faces one to five years on both counts.
A Savannah Judge issued a warrant for Currington after a Chatham County Grand Jury indicted the singer, saying there was 'sufficient evidence' against him.
The Country star turned himself into Georgia police Thursday after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Click here to see the TMZ story and compare Currington's mugshot to other celebs, below.
