Utica, NY (WIBX) - If you love animals, there is a new opportunity to help save them. Oneida County Disaster Planning Committee is looking for volunteers to joing a County Animal Response Team. The team's job would be to get animals to shelters in the event of an emergency.

The group is seeking volunteers from all professions, but they are in need of those with experience as vets, law enforcement, and with disaster planning experience. Those interested in giving animals a helping hand are asked to fill out an application form, which can be found on the Oneida County 911 Services Web Site at, www.ocgov.net.
