AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (AP) — Four months after they were married at St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam, Erin and Shane McGowan were remembered there by hundreds of friends and relatives grieving their death in a limousine crash that killed 20 people in upstate New York.

The Albany Times Union reports that a funeral for another crash victim, 30-year-old Rachael Cavosie, was also held Monday.

Sheila McGarvey eulogized her son, 30-year-old Shane McGowan, as an accomplished athlete who grew into a caring young man.

A cousin said 34-year-old Erin McGowan hated upstate winters, loved the family's lakeside camp and adored her dog Remmy "regardless of how bad he smelled."

In Waterford, Cavosie was remembered as selfless and strong.

Authorities continue to investigate the Oct. 6 limousine crash in rural Schoharie County. The limousine company operator was charged with criminally negligent homicide.
