Utica, NY (WIBX) - National CPR week begins June 1st and the American Heart Association is urging people to learn how to administer this life saving service with a short, instructional video.

The American Heart Association's Dick Mattia says "Most people simply don't know how to help" adding, "Anyone can learn Hands-On CPR and everyone should. In the time it takes to wash your hands, wait for a red light to change or update your Facebook status, anyone can learn to save a life."

According to the American Heart Association, less than one third of cardiac emergency victims get CPR from a bystander.
